Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds

Fridays from 8:00-9:00pm at Nichol Hall, room 1209. Selected topics relevant to prevention and/or public health are presented by preventive medicine faculty and guest speakers. Guests are welcome to join us for Grand Rounds.

Preventive Medicine Teaching Conference

Teaching Conference is a weekly didactic conference for General Preventive Medicine & Public Health residents, Occupational Medicine residents, and Family & Preventive Medicine Residents. Conferences are scheduled on Fridays from 9:00am – 12:00pm in Nichol Hall. A faculty member will present a relevant topic each week, followed by a resident presentation on an assigned topic in the curriculum. Journal clubs, public health analyses, senior project updates, and statistical applications are some of the scheduled activities. The goals of this conference are to: 1) build thinking complexity from primary/secondary levels to tertiary levels, 2) help residents prepare for boards, 3) develop teamwork, presentation skills and professionalism, and 4) construct a framework for population medicine.
